It occupies area of more than 40,000 square meters and shore line 500m in length, is well equipped with a 1000T arc slipway 160 meters in length, a interior berth 81m long ×27m wide, a final assembly workshop, a winch house and a machining shop for hull steel plate, mechanical processing and marine shops, piping sheet plate、welding and outfitting shops etc.. After technical transformation, SDL will be capable of building various kinds of marine boats with 65m long × 12m wide moulded.

The interior berth and the final assembly workshop occupied area of 3000 square meters, is well provided with advanced integrated lifting and technology equipments etc.. A final assembly workshop consists of the platform for block assembly and welding and the berth for welding connection of complete block, where works can be finished such as installation of instruments, shaft system, painting, outfitting and interior decoration etc.. After completing most of works inside, a complete block carried by small marine cars is to be launched to the dock for left works inside, then mooring test, sea trial and delivery to be followed.

To meet the development of shipbuilding and the need of productive ability, mechanical electrical and navigation instrument stores, an assembly shop, an outfitting shop, interior decoration equipment shop will be enlarged, and related facilities to be equipped.
Chongming, the third island with 1200km of it’s area in China, is located at the east of Yangzi Entrance, the south of Shanghai 20km away from center, the north of Nantong City and the west of Zhangjiagang.Chongming’s unique climate , geography and all sides along the water are suitable for manufacturing marine boats and developing tourism business.
With constructing and opening of Shanghai—Chongming —Jiangshu highway and tunnel cross water in 2009,we believe that water and land transportation will be more convenient, and outside exchange and economic trade would be more revitalized and opened.
SDL has got strong support from County Government and New Industrial District where it is located in it. The whole project to be completed is to be invested for 66 million RMB (USD 8 million), SDL would like to cooperate with the customers at home and abroad and seek mutual development.
